Spain beat the holders Argentina 1-0 on 19 July 2026, Ferran Torres scoring in the 105th minute — Spain's second world title after 2010. The tournament was the first with 48 teams and the first shared by three countries, played across Canada, Mexico and the United States, and the most attended in the competition's history.
