Trump won the presidency on 5 November 2024, taking every swing state and the popular vote — the first Republican to do so in twenty years. He is the first person convicted of a felony to be elected president, and only the second to serve non-consecutive terms after Grover Cleveland. His second term brought sweeping tariffs, mass deportations, and a withdrawal from multilateral institutions.
