Djokovic won the US Open on 10 September 2023 for his 24th singles major, equalling Margaret Court's all-time record and passing Rafael Nadal's 22 and Roger Federer's 20. He had been deported from Australia in January 2022 over vaccination rules and barred from the United States for the same reason for most of that year.
